With 10 years experience on the Gerber system from alterations and costings to specialising in grading, he has become well versed in the Gerber system and grading for all areas of the industry.
Always interested in fashion Oliver pursued it in college and later at Falmouth university, where he started using the Gerber system introduced to him from a tutor, spending lunches together working out how to use this crazy new computer that could make patterns with ease.
From a young age he had always clicked with the concept of pattern cutting knowing this when he came to London with a wanting to specialise in a pattern specific company, this is when he started as a junior grader at a grading company. This allowed him to work across multiple categories such as womenswear, menswear, unisex, maternity and childrenswear, for brands ranging from high street, such as ASOS, Debenhams, Next and Sears to luxury level brands such as Mary Katrantzou, Erdem, Temperly London and JW Anderson. Later joining Jenny Packham as the in house grader. And recently moved to The Vampires Wife as their first in house grader.
With his interest in fashion and technology Oliver has been ever interested in what the ‘new’ is, new ways to advance what we know and how we do it.
